A owner of a regional search engine was becoming overwhelmed manually adding and billing listings. Down Home Consulting developed a series of forms to allow customers with new listings to sign up, create, and enroll in automatic monthly payments.
The search engine had undergone a series of changes over the years. That created a challenge as Down Home Consulting programmers researched the program to determine what entries the a new customers would need to make and how they would be stored. Next they determined the best way to organize the series of forms the customer filled out to create the listing and upload their pictures.
The automatic monthly payment was a challenge since there was very few services that provided the capability. Since none of the existing services provided all the needed capabilities, Down Home Consulting used the knowledge of their senior consultant in securing military classified computers, to build a application to securely store the credit card information and automatically process payments each month.
Down Home Consulting also modified the Custom Invoicing and Order Tracking System (See Story) they developed earlier, to allow the search engine owner to monitor and modify the customer accounts.
This project took a job invoicing customers that took their search engine owners often all day to perform, and turned it into a much easier task taking only a fraction of the time.
